Q: How do I know if working with a wedding coordinator is right for me?

A: Hiring a wedding coordinator can be a very personal decision. Many brides are fully capable of managing the planning process themselves, but balancing the wedding, with full times jobs, home life, children and enjoying the process are a whole other story! In our fast paced and ever changing world, we have all learned that time is money, time is precious and valuable, and time is limited. Therefore, understanding that hiring a wedding coordinator is an investment towards yourself, your family, friends, and your memories, is a way to help you prioritize the decision and work it into your budget.

When should a bride decide to hire a wedding coordinator?

It is best to hire a wedding coordinator sooner rather than later – preferably immediately after you becoming engaged! This way, you and your coordinator are on the same page from the start of the process and it reduces the possibility of any details or communication falling through the cracks. Even if you plan to utilize your coordinator only for “month of/day of” service package, it is still best to go ahead and contact your coordinator and request a consultation to ensure your wedding date is available!

Does Ivory Post & Co offer any additional services besides planning?

At this time, we do not offer any additional services besides planning, coordinating, and executing your special events. We understand that other services do provide full floral, photography, or video services, venue locations, and other options.

Will you work with vendors that we select or only a preferred list?

We will work with whomever and whatever vendor you prefer! Depending on the service package you chose, we will provide vendor suggestions based on your preferences. Those vendors may have a different cost due to our vendor/planner relationship, but by no means are you required to work with our suggestions.

What makes Ivory Post & Co different from other wedding coordinators?

Although Ivory Post & Co has been coordinating weddings and events in a business setting for only a short period of time, the personal and work experience that we bring to the table is extensive. Combined with our high standards and commitment to professionalism, we want to invest in our bride and grooms, their families, and their marriage. We take our role in your wedding or event very seriously and we believe it is a privilege that you have trusted us as your planning service.

What kind of service packages do you offer?

We have one package that we utilize for private or corporate events. It is extremely customizable to the type and size of the event – so we do not apply different service levels for those occasions. For weddings, we have three different packages that we offer. These wedding planning services range from a “month of/day of” package all the way to full service planning and coordination. Although we have outlined the packages here, all service packages can be altered or customized based on your unique requests and preferences, to fit your needs. Planning weddings and events is a very personal experience, so we never want to create a standardized process that we force our clients to fit in to.

What areas of Atlanta does Ivory Post & Co. service?

As a native of Atlanta, we understand that we live in a very dynamic city. The city limits include only a fraction of the multitude of venue and vendor options throughout and around the Atlanta area and beyond. Ivory Post & Co is happy to help you plan your wedding in any neighborhood/suburb of Atlanta, as well as north of Atlanta into the mountains, and south of Atlanta – as far as you would like to go! Although we do not currently specialize in destination weddings, if that is what you want – we will make it happen for you! Being a wedding and event planner is not restricted by geography or time zones because our top priority is to create memorable events for you and your loved ones – no matter the location.
